ENAV continuously monitors its radio aids in Italian territory
Radar, VOR, DME, VDF, ILS. These devices, which are essential for air navigation, use electromagnetic signals to provide pilots with information about the horizontal and vertical position of their aircraft.Continuous validation of the accuracy of radio signals enables air transport operators to fly in complete safety.
Thanks to our pilots and a fleet of Piaggio Aero P180 Avanti II aircraft equipped with cutting-edge technologies, we fly an average of 1.800 hours a year. Our aircraft enable us to perform in-flight checks without the need for ground equipment, obtaining results in real time and always in compliance with international regulations.
OUR FLEET
We can deploy a fleet of four Piaggio P180 AVANTI II aircraft dedicated exclusively to flight inspection activities. The P180 is the fastest turboprop produced to date, with a top speed of 402 knots, a certified maximum altitude of 41,000 feet and a range of over 1,500 nautical miles. The aircraft/flight inspection system combination ensures efficiency, low emissions and maximum precision of results.
FLIGHT INSPECTION SYSTEMS
The flight inspection system installed on board each aircraft, consisting of a UNIFIS 3000 console from NSM and all the necessary receivers and antenna, is a state-of-the-art system using the most modern technologies available to achieve maximum accuracy in radio aid measurements.
